Well, as promised, here's the expected unexpected... Canada's first line: Sidney Crosby, Patrice Bergeron, Rick Nash

Not that unexpected.. both played pretty good together at the world juniors.

1) Very few people had Patrice Bergeron to make the team in the first place. That alone makes it unexpected.

2) When he was named to the team, most people pegged him as the 13th forward.

I would classify that as unexpected...

I called it the expected unexpected, because out of 5 hockey analyst there was one person who predicited this, the others said he was a fool.

I say after he made the team it wasn't that unexpected. Its that line for tonight..... doesn't mean it will stay that way.

Only line i dont see them break up is the Sharks line and Perry/Getzlaf, cause they will need to find chemistry and fast....... Sid already played with Bergeron before and they had success. So u already have almost 3 lines with players that know each other.

I think Iginla Nash and Crosby will stay together after what I saw tonight...

I dont like the undefined format after the first round robin.... i think the format of previous olympics was better defined. with 2 division of 6.

Now u get 3 division of 4.... and top 4 gets seeds...... but what defines what gets top seed... probably wins and gf/ga.... and the wildcard for 2nd best?
